To compare John Key to Barack Obama, is a bit of a stretch. It is easy however to compare McCain to Clark.
Neither have aged particularly well, and both enjoy an overt degree of photoshop love in campaign photographs.
They both represent the dying throes of idea bereft governments due for pasture.

I’m tired of hearing about “HOPE” and “CHANGE”. If we elected a squirrel things would change. No matter who gets in we will hope they do better. I don’t you wish billboards were more like this?

Seth Godin is talking about the US election, but I couldn’t help but think of Winston Peters when I read his blog post entitled “Spin”:

Can someone tell me why Shihad are getting NZ on Air video funding this month? They are currently NZ’s biggest rock band, they have 7 gold+ records. They regularly and consistently play sellout shows. They are signed to a major international record label. They get regular airplay inside and outside NZ. To put it mildly, they aren’t struggling. The band haven’t been based in New Zealand since 1999, with only singer Jon Toogood living here, the rest in Australia.
